Tech Lead Manager, Agent Runtime Platform

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Tech Lead Manager to own the strategy and execution of the Agent Runtime Platform, the secure compute environment that powers internal AI agents. You will guide a team that builds, ships, and scales the runtime and tooling while ensuring security, reliability, and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap, translating high‑level goals into concrete deliverables.
• Manage day‑to‑day execution, prioritize work, and keep projects on track in a fast‑moving environment.
• Stay hands‑on by building and shipping platform components and developer tools.
• Partner with security teams to define sandboxing, isolation, and credential‑management standards at scale.
• Design composable primitives that can be reused across many agents.
• Own infrastructure scalability, capacity planning across multiple cloud providers, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with internal product and research teams to support their agent deployments.

Required profile

• 10+ years building and operating large‑scale platforms or distributed systems.
• 1+ years of technical management experience, preferably leading platform or agent teams.
• Strong interest in safe, beneficial AI and its transformative potential.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for improving internal productivity.
