About the role

The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville seeks a Teaching Assistant Professor to join the Department of Advertising and Public Relations. This non‑tenure‑track, fixed‑term faculty position focuses on delivering undergraduate instruction, supporting curriculum development, and contributing to scholarly activities in advertising and public relations.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in advertising, public relations, and related communication subjects.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Engage in departmental service, including committee work and community outreach.
• Participate in research, scholarship, or creative activities aligned with the department’s mission.

Required profile

• Earned terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in advertising, public relations, communication, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States; sponsorship is available.
