Tax Strategy Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Strategy Advisor to provide advanced tax planning and advisory services to high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and business owners. You will work closely with clients, their tax counsel, and internal advisors to develop customized strategies that align with overall financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies for clients with assets of $5M‑$10M.
• Review tax planning estimates and provide actionable insights for complex scenarios.
• Research and analyze complex tax transactions, communicating findings to clients and internal teams.
• Manage client relationships and tax project workflow, especially during tax season.
• Prepare and review complex individual, trust, partnership, foundation, and corporate tax returns.
• Analyze IRS and state notices, prepare responses, and liaise with taxing authorities.
• Contribute to educational and promotional materials and present tax concepts at events.
• Mentor junior tax and planning team members and assist in training programs.
• Perform additional duties to support client service and firm objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation (required).
• Master’s in Taxation is a plus.
• Certified Financial Planner™ certification is desirable.
