Tax Staff

About the role

Frost, PLLC, a CPA firm based in Arkansas with clients across many industries, is hiring a Tax Staff member in Scottsdale. The role works closely with clients from various industries under the guidance of experienced staff and management, with room to grow professionally and build lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and apply tax knowledge to individual returns (e.g. Form 1040) and less complex business returns (e.g. Form 1120)
• Prepare a completed, organized tax file with appropriate supporting documentation
• Understand tax authorities, legal precedents, rulings and regulations, and demonstrate an understanding of fundamental tax law principles
• Anticipate problems and issues, and show strong communication, listening and problem-solving skills
• Follow firm practice management procedures and systems
• Build positive working relationships with all clients
• Understand the computer systems used in tax preparation and provide research support to a transaction review process

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP and other accounting topics
• Ability to work extended hours during the busy season
