About the role

We are seeking an experienced CPA to join our boutique firm as a remote Tax Specialist. You will work with high‑net‑worth individuals and closely held entities, delivering sophisticated tax planning and compliance while enjoying a structured 40‑hour work week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex tax planning and compliance for high‑net‑worth clients and closely held businesses.
• Handle multi‑state tax obligations, including sales, property, and federal excise taxes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear, timely guidance.
• Conduct tax research and draft memorandums to support strategic recommendations.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains.

Required profile

• CPA certification.
• Minimum 5 years of recent public‑accounting tax experience.
• Proven track record with complex, multi‑state tax engagements.
• Experience serving high‑net‑worth individuals or corporate tax clients.
• Stable career progression with no frequent job changes.
