Tax: Public Finance, Infrastructure & P3 Associate

About the role

Nixon Peabody is seeking a motivated associate to join its Project Finance and Public Finance Practice Group. The role focuses on tax matters related to public finance, infrastructure finance, and public‑private partnership (P3) transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advice on public finance and infrastructure finance transactions.
• Assist with tax‑exempt financing structures, tax credits, and related regulatory issues.
• Support tax aspects of Section 501(c)(3) organizations, financial products, and IRS audits.
• Collaborate with a team of tax attorneys on a wide range of tax‑exempt market financings.

Required profile

• Three or more years of experience handling tax issues in public finance or infrastructure finance transactions.
• General experience with federal tax matters.
• Familiarity with tax credits, Section 501(c)(3) organizations, and IRS audit processes is a plus.
