Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager will support global tax operations for a growing organization based in the United States. This individual contributor role owns complex tax processes, partners with internal finance, legal, and sales teams, and works with external advisors to ensure accurate and compliant tax management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage income tax, sales and use tax, VAT, gross receipts, franchise, business, licensing, and property tax filings.
• Coordinate the annual tax provision process and maintain the tax calendar.
• Respond to tax authority audits, notices, and information requests.
• Review quarterly transfer pricing calculations and related journal entries.
• Support tax planning initiatives and analyze tax implications of business transactions.
• Prepare state income tax apportionments, tax account reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.
• Partner with sales and legal teams to provide tax guidance during contract negotiations.
• Maintain and optimize indirect tax software solutions and related third‑party tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required).
• Master’s degree in Taxation (preferred).
• CPA certification or active progress toward CPA licensing (preferred).
• 6‑10 years of professional tax experience, covering both income and indirect taxation.
