Tax Internship – Summer 2027

About the role

As a Tax Intern for the Summer 2027 term, you will join PwC’s Tax practice in Detroit and gain hands‑on experience in corporate tax consulting. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting the delivery of tax advice, compliance and planning services while developing a solid foundation in global tax concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist tax teams in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and compliance documentation.
• Research and analyse complex tax regulations to help optimise client tax positions.
• Support international and multistate tax planning projects.
• Conduct tax research and contribute to the development of innovative consulting solutions.
• Help build tax models and structures for client engagements.
• Participate in the preparation of tax provisions and audit support.
• Apply data‑analytics techniques to identify tax optimisation opportunities.
• Observe senior tax professionals and contribute to team collaboration.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5).
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program at the time of application.
