Tax Intern – Winter 2028

About the role

As a Tax Intern at PwC in Pittsburgh, you will join the Tax practice for the Winter 2028 term. You will gain hands‑on experience supporting tax teams, learning PwC’s methodologies, and contributing to client projects while developing a foundation for a career in tax consulting.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax teams in delivering comprehensive tax advice and planning strategies.
• Assist in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
• Analyze complex tax regulations to help optimize tax positions and minimize risks.
• Participate in international tax planning and multistate compliance activities.
• Conduct tax research and contribute innovative solutions to consulting projects.
• Help develop tax models and structures for client engagements.
• Support the preparation of tax provisions and audit documentation.
• Apply data‑analytics techniques to identify tax‑optimization opportunities.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5).
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.
