About the role

As a Tax Intern at PwC in Washington DC, you will join the Tax practice for the Winter 2027 term. The role offers hands‑on exposure to corporate tax compliance, international tax planning and data‑driven tax optimisation while you develop a professional foundation in tax consulting.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax teams in delivering comprehensive advice and planning strategies.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
• Analyze complex tax regulations to optimise positions and minimise risks.
• Participate in international tax planning and multistate compliance activities.
• Conduct tax research and contribute innovative solutions to consulting projects.
• Help develop tax models, structures and provisions for clients.
• Apply data analytics to identify opportunities for tax optimisation.
• Observe and learn from experienced tax professionals.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5).
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.
