Tax Intern – Summer 2028 – St. Louis

About the role

As a Tax Intern you will join PwC’s Tax practice in St. Louis for the Summer 2028 term. You will gain exposure to global tax consulting, support teams delivering tax advice, and develop a foundation for a career in tax compliance and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax teams in delivering comprehensive tax advice and planning strategies.
• Assist in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
• Analyze complex tax regulations to optimize tax positions and minimize risks.
• Participate in international tax planning and multistate compliance activities.
• Conduct tax research to support consulting projects and propose innovative solutions.
• Help develop tax models and structures for clients.
• Contribute to the preparation of tax provisions and audit documentation.
• Apply data analytics to identify opportunities for tax optimization and efficiency.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5).
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.
