About the role

Join PwC’s Tax practice in Washington DC as a Summer 2027 Tax Intern. You will work alongside experienced tax professionals, gaining hands‑on exposure to corporate tax compliance, international tax planning, and data‑driven tax optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax teams in delivering comprehensive advice and planning strategies.
• Assist in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and related compliance documents.
• Analyze complex tax regulations to help optimize client tax positions and reduce risk.
• Participate in international tax planning and multistate compliance activities.
• Conduct tax research and contribute innovative solutions to consulting projects.
• Help develop tax models and structures for client engagements.
• Contribute to the preparation of tax provisions and audit documentation.
• Observe and learn from senior tax professionals to accelerate personal development.
• Apply data‑analytics techniques to identify opportunities for tax efficiency.
• Support the creation of regulatory compliance strategies across diverse industries.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5 or higher).
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to a full‑time role.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program at the time of application.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity in tax research and planning.
