Tax Intern – Japanese Business Network (Summer 2028)

About the role

Join PwC’s Tax practice as a Japanese Business Network Intern for the Summer 2028 term. You will support tax professionals in delivering tailored tax solutions to entrepreneurial and private businesses while gaining exposure to international tax planning and CPA preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax teams in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
• Assist in analyzing tax data to identify potential savings and compliance opportunities.
• Participate in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance projects.
• Conduct tax research to provide up‑to‑date information on tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to draft and prepare tax documents for clients.
• Contribute to the development of tax strategies aligned with client goals and regulatory requirements.
• Observe and learn from experienced tax professionals to gain consulting insights.
• Apply data analytics to enhance accuracy and efficiency of tax reporting processes.
• Support the Japanese Business Network in delivering tailored tax services.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning tax structures and policies.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Business‑level fluency in Japanese and English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to full‑time.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn.
