Tax Associate – Summer/Fall 2027 (Austin)

About the role

PwC is seeking a Tax Associate to join its Austin Tax practice for the Summer/Fall 2027 period. In this entry‑level role you will support the delivery of tax services, help clients navigate complex tax regulations, and develop your technical expertise within a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and filing corporate tax returns to meet compliance deadlines.
• Support the development of tax strategies that optimize positions and reduce risk.
• Conduct tax research and analysis on domestic and international matters.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored tax consulting for various industries.
• Participate in multistate tax compliance, reporting, and tax provision modeling.
• Contribute to partnership tax return preparation and related documentation.
• Help develop international tax planning structures and initiatives.
• Utilize data analytics to improve tax compliance and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5).
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• In the final academic year or recently graduated, ready for an entry‑level associate role.
