Tax Associate – New York (Winter 2027)

About the role

PwC is seeking a Tax Associate for its New York office to join the Tax practice in the Winter 2027 intake. You will work on client engagements, develop tax strategies, and gain exposure to both domestic and international tax matters while building technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and filing corporate tax returns to meet compliance requirements.
• Support the development of tax strategies that optimize positions and minimize risks.
• Conduct tax research and analysis on domestic and international tax issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored tax consulting services.
• Engage in multistate tax compliance and reporting for jurisdictional obligations.
• Participate in the preparation of tax provisions and financial reporting models.
• Contribute to partnership tax return preparation and related documentation.
• Assist in designing tax structures for international planning initiatives.
• Utilize data analytics to improve tax compliance and reporting processes.
• Support regulatory compliance consulting to navigate complex tax regulations.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5).
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• In the final academic year or recently graduated, ready for an entry‑level client service role.
