Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join a leading manufacturing company. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws while supporting the finance team with accurate reporting and strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
• Conduct detailed tax research and planning to minimize liabilities.
• Develop and implement internal control systems for accurate tax calculations.
• Collaborate with finance to prepare financial statements and reports.
• Assist in quarterly and annual tax provision calculations (ASC 740).
• Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors.
• Stay current on tax law changes and ensure company compliance.
• Provide guidance to the finance team on tax‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of tax accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax software and related computer applications.
• Knowledge of ASC 740 tax provision accounting.
• Experience with Sales Tax, Use Tax, Property Tax, and Multi‑State Tax.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Tax research and planning expertise.
