TAB Estimator (HVAC & Mechanical Systems)

About the role

Aero Performance Group is looking for a detail‑oriented TAB Estimator to support the growth of its Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) business. The role involves reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents to produce accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, laboratory, and mission‑critical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and bid documents.
• Analyze mechanical systems such as HVAC air distribution, hydronic, exhaust, laboratory, and critical‑environment systems.
• Quantify TAB scopes, estimate labor hours, travel, equipment, subcontractors, and project risks.
• Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, qualifications, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Develop conceptual budgets during early project planning and support value‑engineering requests.
• Support account managers during proposal development, pre‑bid meetings, and site walks.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and pricing libraries.
• Track estimate accuracy and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical construction.
