Systems Engineer – Santa Barbara

About the role

Moog is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its Santa Barbara Operations team. You will work on environmentally robust, high‑reliability liner and rotary actuators for mission‑critical military vehicle subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑reliability liner and rotary actuators.
• Evaluate designs using mechanical, structural dynamics, electrical, thermal, and rotary‑motion analyses.
• Predict system‑level performance of candidate approaches and select optimal solutions.
• Lead an integrated product development team to ensure timely project completion.
• Interpret customer specifications and requirements.
• Travel up to 25% of the time as mission needs dictate.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong attention to detail and high motivation.
• Ability to access US export‑controlled information and obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Required skills

• MATLAB/Simulink expertise.
