Systems Engineer

About the role

The Systems Engineer will design and develop complex components, modules, and subsystems for Applied Materials’ semiconductor equipment. You will ensure designs meet market requirement specifications, support system integration, and contribute to advancing AI‑driven technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design complex components, modules, and subsystems, and create system engineering specifications.
• Coordinate with project marketing and management to understand subsystem requirements and lead architecture brainstorming sessions.
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis, evaluate architectural approaches, and recommend optimal system solutions.
• Build and qualify prototypes or procure subsystems, testing for compliance with specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot engineering problems, supporting system integration, assembly, and final testing.
• Provide remote and onsite support to field personnel and ensure reliability testing meets industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 4–7 years of experience in system engineering, preferably in semiconductor or advanced equipment environments.
