Systems Engineer IV

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Systems Engineer IV to design, integrate, and optimize complex semiconductor equipment systems. You will work with cross‑functional teams to develop advanced solutions, write system specifications, and ensure high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design complex components, modules, and subsystems, ensuring they meet market requirement specifications.
• Lead architecture brainstorming sessions, evaluate alternatives, and select final subsystem architectures.
• Build and qualify prototypes or procure subsystems from suppliers, testing for compliance with detailed specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot difficult engineering problems, supporting serviceability and manufacturability.
• Provide system integration support during assembly and final testing, and perform reliability testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in RF design for vacuum systems, plasma technology, and semiconductor processes.
