Systems Analytics Engineer – Connectivity & Telematics

About the role

The Connectivity & Telematics team links Rivian vehicles to the cloud, handling real‑time communication, remote commands, telemetry pipelines, and system diagnostics for a fleet of over 100,000 vehicles. As a Systems Analytics Engineer you will investigate complex, cross‑stack issues that span embedded Linux, networking, firmware, and cloud services, turning data into actionable insights at fleet scale.

Key responsibilities

• Root‑cause and resolve cross‑stack problems affecting production vehicles.
• Analyze fleet‑wide telemetry and logs using SQL, PySpark, and Databricks.
• Correlate data from cloud services, on‑vehicle logs, and hardware diagnostics.
• Develop automated detection mechanisms to flag recurring issues.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and cloud teams to implement fixes.

Required profile

• Strong software and systems fundamentals.
• Experience investigating embedded Linux and networking behavior.
• Motivation to build or enhance data‑analysis capabilities.
