Systems Administrator

About the role

This fully remote position supports and optimises enterprise applications, services, and server environments for a technology‑driven organisation. The Systems Administrator ensures reliable infrastructure, improves operational efficiency, and delivers high‑quality technical support to internal users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage application and server backups across on‑premise and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Install, configure, upgrade, monitor and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers and related services.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues, including performance, OS, and application problems.
• Perform OS updates and patching using tools such as Azure Update Manager.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting and system administration.
• Support cloud hosting, virtualization and highly available/clustered environments.
• Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, training materials and operational procedures.
• Organise technical inventories, equipment logistics and hardware processes.
• Provide responsive technical support and collaborate with distributed internal teams.
• Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting applications, servers and enterprise technology environments.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
