About the role

The Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR) within the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking a Systems Administrator to join its Infrastructure Team. This hybrid position supports a world‑leading research environment that designs, monitors, and analyzes clinical trials for major NIH‑funded networks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and administer Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
• Manage computer hardware, system software, applications software, and networking configurations.
• Plan and execute comprehensive infrastructure engineering duties.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Team members to ensure reliable, secure, and high‑performance systems.
• Perform expert‑level build, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of servers and related services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in system administration for Linux, Windows, and VMware platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and hardware management.
• Ability to work both on‑site and remotely in a hybrid environment.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering reliable infrastructure services.
