Systems Administrator II (VMware, Microsoft 365)

About the role

Kforce is seeking a Systems Administrator II for a client in Lake Mary, FL. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualized and cloud‑based infrastructures while supporting core Microsoft services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and monitor VMware vCenter Server and ESXi clusters.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Manage Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments, including user provisioning and service configuration.
• Perform daily backups, infrastructure monitoring, and routine maintenance using enterprise tools.
• Troubleshoot networking issues across a multi‑site hybrid environment.
• Support cybersecurity operations by overseeing endpoint detection and response platforms.
• Provide mentorship to junior administrators and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Prepare accurate IT status reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• At least 3 years managing VMware in clustered or hyper‑converged environments.
• 3+ years with SCCM, Intune, or comparable endpoint management tools.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
