Systems Administrator – Hybrid Contract

About the role

This contract position serves as the Systems Manager for Disability Determination Services (DDS). You will ensure that all agency systems run smoothly, act as the primary local security officer, and support users across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot network, servers, printers, and other peripherals.
• Manage system security in line with FISMA, NIST CSF, and CISA standards.
• Configure and provision new user accounts, laptops, and role‑based access using Active Directory and SAMs.
• Perform regular access audits and enforce security education for staff.
• Support business intelligence tools, SQL queries, and reporting platforms.
• Monitor intrusion detection systems such as Splunk.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Local candidate within an hour’s drive of Winthrop, ME.
• Ability to work onsite during a 3–6 month training period, then hybrid (typically Monday‑Tuesday onsite).

Required skills

• FISMA, NIST CSF, and CISA compliance knowledge.
• Network support and system security fundamentals.
• Microsoft 365 suite (Office, OneDrive, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams).
• SQL query writing and business intelligence reporting.
• PowerShell scripting.
• System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
• Experience with SAMs, DCPS, and Splunk.
• CompTIA A+ certification (preferred).
