System/Network Administrator

About the role

The System/Network Administrator will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure supporting an electric motor and generator manufacturing environment. This on‑site role will start at our Linden, NJ facility and transition to a new site in East Windsor, NJ.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print services and VPNs.
• Create and keep an up‑to‑date system topology with baseline configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Monitor system performance, availability and reliability.
• Support backup and disaster‑recovery strategies, including regular testing.
• Install, update and maintain company software and hardware.
• Assist in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
• Coordinate with IT lead to close compliance gaps and ensure adherence to NIST SP 800‑series, NISPOM, DAAPM and RMF.

Required profile

• BS degree in Computer Information Systems, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• US citizenship with active DoD Secret clearance.
• Strong communication skills to interact with management and ensure compliance.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Managed switches and next‑generation firewalls.
• Backup and disaster‑recovery tools.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800‑series, NISPOM, DAAPM, RMF.
• CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA A+ certifications (preferred).
