System Integrator Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking a System Integrator Technician to support a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. The technician interprets data, installs, tests, maintains and repairs electronic equipment and related devices such as transmitting and receiving gear, personal computers and terminals, and works with programming procedures and complex programs.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain and repair electronic equipment and devices, including measuring and controlling equipment.
• Analyze program requirements, develop programming specifications and plan programming actions across several products.
• Develop, modify and maintain complex programs and file and record structures, solving major computer problems involving multiple pieces of equipment.
• Wire and integrate field devices with PLCs and program PLCs to respond to them.
• Work with field devices such as valves, flow meters, transmitters, pumps, level indicators and bubblers, analog and digital.
• Follow safety, quality and procedure-compliance requirements, and obtain and maintain facility credentials.

Required profile

• High school education or equivalent.
• Four years of experience with electronics or electronic control systems, or two years of formal training.
• Valid state driver's license and hard-toed safety shoes meeting ASTM F2413-0S standards.
• Subject to a government security investigation and eligible for access to Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay; US citizenship required for facility credentials.
• Physical demands include frequent walking and standing, occasional stooping and bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, and climbing up to 150 feet; PPE required.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP, RSLogix, Intellution, Microsoft Excel, Logic Master, Logix, API and AI.
• Network protocols such as TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBIOS and Ethernet.
• Ladder logic, troubleshooting, modifying and programming PLCs.
• Tools of the trade.
