System Administrator (Remote, Government Systems)

About the role

We are seeking a remote System Administrator to maintain and support our government‑related IT infrastructure. The role ensures that servers, networks and services remain secure, reliable and efficient while complying with public‑trust security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and system access through Active Directory.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Apply software updates, security patches and perform regular system backups.
• Support Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms and related services.
• Document system configurations and technical procedures.
• Respond to support requests and resolve technical incidents.
• Follow security policies and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Experience with Windows or Linux system administration.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, networking and server management.
• Basic scripting ability (PowerShell or Bash) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a Public Trust background investigation.
