System Administrator – Night Shift (10 pm–6 am)

About the role

Five Rivers Analytics is seeking a dedicated System Administrator to join our Colorado Springs team on the night shift (10 pm–6 am). You will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of a diverse set of infrastructure components while working with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and administer Operational Switch Replacement (OSR) systems, WAN interfaces, NetApp storage, EMS, SolarWinds, VMware, LogRhythm, encryption devices, and related platforms.
• Manage network hardware including VPNs, routers, switches, firewalls, and ensure optimal network performance.
• Develop, deploy, and support ANETS VMware solutions; install OS patches, service packs, and security updates.
• Provide client/server architecture design, analysis, and implementation, including relational database support.
• Monitor system and application performance, conduct functional testing for endpoint security software, and enforce security policies.
• Install, configure, and maintain Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control.
• Perform scheduled backups, data recovery, and document outage resolutions.
• Offer technical support to system users and act as lead on complex issues, escalating only the most critical problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 5‑7 years of systems administration experience.
• Ability to work independently during night hours with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting OS, software, and networking issues.
• Experience coordinating with customers and internal teams to resolve incidents.
