System Administrator

About the role

A-Better Heat & Air Conditioning is seeking a dedicated System Administrator to manage and maintain its internal IT infrastructure. The role supports both office and field staff, ensuring reliable and secure technology operations that enable high‑quality HVAC services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network equipment.
• Manage network security, including firewalls, anti‑virus software, and intrusion detection systems.
• Provide timely technical support and troubleshooting for office and field personnel.
• Monitor system health, verify hardware integrity, and ensure availability of critical resources.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Implement and oversee data backup and recovery procedures.
• Document IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar IT role.
• Strong understanding of system administration, network protocols, and security principles.
• Experience working primarily in Windows environments.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical colleagues.
• Relevant degree or certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified) are advantageous.
