System Administrator

About the role

Our client, a prestigious alternative investment firm located in Downtown Manhattan, is seeking a hands‑on System Administrator / IT Support Engineer. You will provide high‑touch technical support to executives and employees while managing core infrastructure in a security‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote support for hardware, software, networking and mobile devices.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Configure, deploy and maintain Windows and Mac workstations, laptops, printers, conference‑room technology and peripherals.
• Administer Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange and file services.
• Support remote‑access solutions, endpoint security and cloud‑based business applications.
• Lead desktop initiatives such as hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, software deployments and patch management.
• Partner with internal teams for onboarding, off‑boarding, workstation provisioning and access management.
• Maintain technical documentation, asset inventory and knowledge‑base articles.
• Coordinate with vendors for implementations, maintenance and issue resolution.
• Identify automation and process‑improvement opportunities to enhance IT operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on IT support experience in a corporate setting, preferably financial services.
• Proven ability to support both Windows and macOS environments.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with experience supporting executives.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and discretion.
