System Administrator (IT Operations & Infrastructure)

About the role

The System Administrator will provide hands‑on, responsive support for internal staff, project teams, and external partners across our construction and real‑estate operations. This full‑time, onsite position is based in San Jose and requires regular travel to the Santa Cruz office and various Bay Area job sites to deploy and maintain IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain network, servers, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and VMware virtual infrastructure.
• Administer Google Workspace, including user management, security policies, and collaboration tools.
• Provide Tier 1‑3 helpdesk support, troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and manage onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Maintain Cisco switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, VPN, and Wi‑Fi networks across offices and field locations.
• Support enterprise applications such as Procore, Yardi, Autodesk, and other construction‑related SaaS solutions.
• Procure, deploy, and manage IT hardware, maintain asset inventories, and execute standardized imaging processes.
• Lead IT deployments at job sites, ensuring reliable connectivity and system performance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on technical professional comfortable working both in an office and on‑site at construction locations.
• Willingness to travel regularly between San Jose, Santa Cruz, and various Bay Area sites.
• Strong communication skills to support internal employees and external partners.
• Ability to document procedures, network diagrams, and asset inventories.
