Swiss Lathe Machinist IV – 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking an experienced Swiss Lathe Machinist IV for the 2nd shift at its Buffalo, NY facility. You will apply precision machining expertise to produce high‑precision aerospace and defense components that directly support critical missions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision machining and CNC programming on Swiss lathes and CAM systems.
• Plan, fixture, and layout jobs while maintaining tolerances of .0001‑.0002 inches.
• Inspect finished parts and ensure quality compliance.
• Collaborate with design draftsmen and manufacturing engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Make decisions on fixturing, tooling, set‑up, and inspection methods.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Minimum 5 years of diversified machining experience, including work on Swiss lathes (preferably Star Machines).
• Experience with CAD/CAM is a plus.
