Sustainability Coordinator

About the role

The Sustainability Coordinator will support UNIQLO’s mission to make LifeWear purposeful and tangible for customers and store teams. Reporting to the US Sustainability Manager, you will drive store‑level sustainability initiatives, volunteer programs, and partnership development across key U.S. markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with existing non‑profit partners and identify new local collaborations.
• Plan and execute volunteer opportunities and community events aligned with business priorities.
• Maintain the Sustainability activity calendar, coordinating logistics, timelines, and store participation.
• Serve as the primary liaison with store teams, ensuring accurate sustainability tools and communications.
• Deliver sustainability training for new store openings and coordinate pre‑opening volunteer activities.
• Oversee sustainability reporting, including 2030 targets, utility data, and program updates.
• Execute strategic donation initiatives in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
• Support local web page updates and sustainability‑related content coordination.
• Assist cross‑functional projects to embed sustainability into store operations, marketing, PR, digital, and new openings.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing sustainability or CSR projects, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple initiatives and timelines.
• Effective communication skills for training and internal communications.
