Sustainability Analyst

About the role

The Sustainability Analyst will support Stanford Medicine Children’s Health in advancing its sustainability strategy. You will work across climate action, building decarbonization, waste reduction, and alternative transportation initiatives, turning data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing sustainability projects, programs, policies, and budgets.
• Collect, calculate, model, and report sustainability data for utilities, waste, purchasing, and food services.
• Create and update educational and outreach content on sustainability topics.
• Manage key performance indicators (KPIs), develop continuous‑improvement plans, and maintain databases for tracking metrics.
• Analyze large, complex data sets to provide insights to leadership and support business‑case development for sustainability programs.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of sustainability standards and climate‑action frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and adhere to hospital policies and Joint Commission requirements.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy and reporting.
