About the role
A.I.S., Inc. is seeking Survey Technicians to conduct recreational use surveys across state and national parks on the Kenai Peninsula and the Cook Inlet corridor. This temporary, part‑time assignment runs from May 11 to September 27, 2026, and involves direct interaction with park visitors to collect paper‑based data.
Key responsibilities
- Travel by personal vehicle to assigned park locations according to a set schedule.
- Administer paper survey instruments, ask questions, and record responses accurately.
- Send required SMS updates (arrival, start/end of session, end of day) to designated contacts.
- Photograph completed forms and transmit images as instructed.
- Organize, maintain, and deliver survey forms in chronological order.
- Maintain mileage logs and submit weekly reimbursement reports.
- Record work hours per established timekeeping procedures.
- Adhere to safety, waste disposal, and project communication protocols.
Required profile
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
- Capacity to work independently in remote outdoor settings.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and remain outdoors for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
