About the role
We are looking for a Surfactants Lab Team Lead to manage our cGMP and ISO‑9001 certified laboratory in Geismar, Louisiana. You will ensure safe, efficient operations while driving continuous improvement through KPI monitoring and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a laboratory team comprising a Technologist, a Continuous Improvement‑Validation Specialist, and multiple Quality Control Technicians.
- Monitor and report laboratory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify strengths and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with FDA guidance for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), ISO 9001, EXCiPACT, Responsible Care Management System, Halal, and Kosher standards.
- Oversee equipment troubleshooting, standards and controls compliance, and day‑to‑day laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with internal business partners and external customers to ensure sample methodologies and work processes exceed expectations.
Required profile
- Strong background in analytical chemistry with attention to detail.
- Experience applying statistical process control and developing KPIs.
- Knowledge of regulatory principles such as FDA API guidance, ISO 9001, EXCiPACT, and Responsible Care.
- Proven ability to lead and develop laboratory staff.
- Creative mindset for identifying innovative approaches to standard work practices.
