Supply Technician (HLSE)

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Supply Technician (HLSE) for an hourly, overtime-eligible position under the Service Contract Act. The technician performs limited aspects of technical supply management, including inventory and storage management, cataloging and property utilization, within established supply regulations and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies and equipment, and material coordination for special programs, maintenance or production shops
• Warehousing duties: verify materials against receiving documents, report discrepancies and damage, route materials to storage locations, stack or palletize, rearrange and take inventory, and prepare damaged goods for shipment
• May operate hand or power trucks and perform quality assurance inspections and inventory checks
• Contact operating officials and commercial or government representatives about new items, item characteristics and procurement lead times

Required profile

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a government driving permit; position may require travel
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government clearance (US citizenship required)
• Three years of material or supply function experience, in the military or commercial settings
• High school degree or equivalent is desirable
• Typical warehouse environment with frequent lifting of 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing and walking

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ILSS is mandatory
• Knowledge of government supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature and manuals
• Preferred: working knowledge of ELMS
