Supply Chain Technical Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives that enhance manufacturing readiness, supplier qualification, risk mitigation, and supply‑chain resilience. The role partners with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and external suppliers to drive programs from concept through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute project plans, guiding initiatives from conception to implementation.
• Lead technical programs that span manufacturing, engineering, quality and supply‑chain teams.
• Drive supplier qualification and alternate source development to improve business continuity.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities and qualification readiness.
• Manage technical risks, develop mitigation plans and resolve issues across stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering change implementation and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Facilitate root‑cause investigations and corrective‑action plans with suppliers and internal teams.
• Develop and track program schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies and executive communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Operations or Supply Chain.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier qualification methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional technical projects and communicate with senior leadership.

Required skills

• PMP or equivalent project‑management certification.
• Experience with supplier development and qualification programs.
• Project management expertise.
