This role supports supplier quality across new and existing products, driving cost savings, lead‑time reductions, and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate technical requirements of new and existing products and recommend qualified sources and materials to design engineering for cost, lead‑time, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with New Product Development teams to ensure clear engineering drawing requirements and communicate expectations to suppliers.
• Participate in New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in specification development and promote design for manufacturability.
• Continuously engage in the Supplier Selection Process to build a supply base that offers quality, cost, delivery, and technology advantages.
• Lead supplier technical audits, assess performance and capability, and drive continuous improvement and training for other supplier engineers.
• Lead quality problem resolution and incident management, driving root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and systemic supplier process improvements.
• Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers and supply market trends to maintain competitive advantage.

Required profile

• Good working knowledge of structured problem solving with up to 4 years of supplier engineering experience.
• Full‑time employee type with 20% travel requirement.
