Supplier Lead – Procurement & Supplier Performance

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Supplier Lead to serve as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers. Reporting to the Procurement & Supplier Performance Manager, you will work on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite in Torrance, CA) to ensure supply chain performance across all Moog sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with designated suppliers and internal supply chain teams.
• Monitor and surveil supplier activities, evaluating performance and identifying risks.
• Mitigate identified risks and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
• Manage purchase orders, ensuring delivery information is current and verified.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, supply chain, or business.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in manufacturing or engineering, preferably aerospace.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities, with capacity to understand complex regulations and procedures.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proven collaboration across functions, cultures, and geographic regions, with flexibility for varying work hours.

Required skills

• Negotiation skills and knowledge of procurement and contractual law.
• Project or program management experience.
