Supplier Engineer IV

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate technical requirements of new and existing products and recommend qualified sources and materials to design engineering to achieve cost savings, lead‑time reductions, system improvements, increased life and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with New Product Development teams to ensure engineering drawing requirements are clear, accurate, and effectively communicated to supporting suppliers.
• Participate with New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in specification development and review, promoting design‑for‑manufacturability.
• Maintain continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to build a supply base that delivers quality, value, delivery performance and technological advantage.
• Lead the supplier technical audit process, evaluate supplier performance and capability, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives; train other supplier engineers on audit and evaluation methods.
• Lead quality problem resolution and incident management, drive root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and systemic supplier process improvements.
• Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers and supply‑market trends to preserve competitive advantage.
