Supplier Development Engineer

About the role

Join Saronic Technologies as a Supplier Development Engineer to drive continuous improvement of supplier performance for autonomous surface vessel programs supporting the Department of Defense. You will partner with suppliers, conduct audits, and embed quality standards across the supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with suppliers to improve quality systems, processes, and capabilities.
• Conduct supplier audits, inspections, and quality assessments.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects using Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen tools.
• Apply DOE, FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analyses to resolve non‑conformances.
• Collaborate with procurement, quality, manufacturing, and design teams to align supplier capabilities with program requirements.
• Support evaluation, qualification, and risk mitigation for new and existing suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or supplier quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA and control plans.
• Proven ability to conduct supplier audits and lead root‑cause analysis.
