Supplier Development Engineer – Electronics

About the role

Moog is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer (Electronics) to act as the technical bridge between the company and its electronics suppliers. You will drive continuous improvement of supplier performance, quality, and manufacturing processes for components such as PCBA, cables, harnesses, and power electronics.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site assessments and audits of supplier quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100) and manufacturing processes.
• Support New Product Introduction by managing APQP and PPAP activities, ensuring supplier readiness for launches and production ramps.
• Analyze supplier quality and delivery KPIs, identify gaps, and lead improvement plans.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and 8D corrective actions for supplier‑related issues.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal engineering teams and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering within the electronics industry (PCB assembly, cable/harness manufacturing).
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred.
• Experience as a certified quality auditor and with quality management software.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 and IPC standards.
