Supervisory & Structure Data Collections Department Head

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is seeking a senior leader to head the Supervisory & Structure Data Collections Department. This role will guide the transformation of data collection processes that support supervision, monetary policy and financial stability across the System.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and set long‑term priorities aligned with System‑wide modernization goals.
• Lead and develop managers, team leaders, specialists and analysts, overseeing talent development, performance and succession planning.
• Coordinate department objectives with partners across the Function, the Bank and the Federal Reserve System.
• Drive modernization of data operations, including workflow redesign, digital process improvements and adoption of emerging technologies.
• Synthesize and communicate data quality insights, reporting themes and escalation points to senior stakeholders.
• Represent the Function on System‑level committees, national workgroups and priority initiatives.
• Ensure timely, accurate, fit‑for‑use data for supervision, policy, research and market‑facing partners.
• Oversee data collections and reporting for domestic and foreign banking organizations, covering capital, liquidity, structure and financial condition.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large, data‑focused teams in a financial or regulatory environment.
• Proven ability to develop talent, manage performance and foster a collaborative, innovative culture.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of delivering modernization initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data insights to senior audiences.
