Supervisory Examiner

About the role

The Supervisory Examiner joins the Supervision Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, responsible for overseeing banks and financial market utilities in the Second District. This role contributes to the safety, soundness, and resilience of the U.S. financial system through on‑site and off‑site examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain deep knowledge of supervised firms’ strategies, risk profiles, governance, and control functions.
• Develop and present examination findings and analytical results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Federal Reserve System, Board of Governors, and other regulatory agencies to coordinate supervisory actions.
• Identify emerging risks and recommend supervisory priorities, plans, and ratings.
• Monitor capital, liquidity, governance, resolution, and overall operational resilience of institutions.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial analysis, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience conducting on‑site and off‑site examinations of large, systemically important financial institutions.
• Ability to analyze complex risk issues and communicate findings clearly.
• Demonstrated teamwork and relationship‑building skills across multiple agencies.
