Superintendent - HVAC Maintenance

About the role

Delan Associates is looking for an experienced Superintendent to lead HVAC maintenance activities on upcoming nuclear construction projects in the Aiken, SC area. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate Union craft labor, ensure safety compliance, and maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellent relationships with clients, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and the public.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and meets quality and contractual requirements.
• Develop, monitor, and update the project schedule; create detailed look‑ahead plans with subcontractors.
• Develop recovery strategies when schedule or budget are at risk.
• Plan, supervise, and approve the work of on‑site forces and subcontractors, including methods, manpower, materials, tools, equipment, rentals, and work schedules.
• Drive productivity, efficient use of resources, and contractual performance.
• Oversee training for safety, quality assurance, technical qualifications, and equipment operation.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, Field Work Packages, Inspection & Test Plans, and project budget.
• Maintain field documentation such as safety records, daily progress reports, training logs, and manpower reports.

Required profile

• Technical college diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction and subcontractor supervision experience in the nuclear industry.
• Prior HVAC and duct installation/supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to successfully supervise large‑scale construction projects.
