Superintendent (Construction)

About the role

JRM is seeking Superintendents at all experience levels to lead on‑site construction activities across its projects in the United States. The role involves coordinating trades, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Superintendent in developing, updating and maintaining project schedules, including master, 60‑day and two‑week look‑ahead schedules for assigned trades.
• Implement and continuously maintain corporate safety program requirements on the daily site operations.
• Monitor material delivery dates, communicate requirements to the project superintendent, and assist with contract item lists and shop drawing schedules.
• Attend weekly foreman and superintendent meetings and prepare thorough daily construction reports.
• Establish and maintain document control to ensure work follows the latest design documents and approved shop drawings.
• Communicate design clarification needs to the project manager for timely issuance of RFIs.
• Assist in preparing monthly status reports for client submission.
• Secure, post and renew required permits and approvals from jurisdictional agencies before work commences.
• Collaborate with the project manager to identify constructability issues and scope gaps during pre‑construction.
