Summer 2027 Internship - Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

Stryker is offering an on-site summer 2027 internship in Manufacturing Engineering in Michigan. Interns contribute to real projects, gain exposure to mentors and join an innovative, teamwork-driven culture. The internship targets students in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial & Operations Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and operations teams to bring products to market efficiently
• Work on projects such as fixture development, assembly line optimization, lean manufacturing implementation, ergonomics and safety improvements, and process validation
• Apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced industry setting and implement new ideas
• Network with high-level stakeholders and leaders, and document and present complex processes clearly

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, remaining enrolled after the internship
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at time of hire
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and does not need sponsorship now or in the future
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment

What we offer

• $20 minimum to $35 maximum hourly wage
