About the role
Ensemble Schools is looking for experienced voice and piano substitute instructors to teach in‑person at various Chicago‑area music schools. Substitutes fill gaps in regular teachers' schedules and may receive ongoing assignments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide voice and piano instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Maintain punctuality, prepare lesson plans, and ensure a safe, supportive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Degree in music performance, music education, pedagogy, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching young musicians and reliable transportation.
Required skills
- Proficiency in piano performance and instruction.
- Strong vocal technique and ability to teach voice.
What we offer
- Hourly pay $27‑$30 based on experience.
